She asks if he'll buy her something, but he refuses to do that and walks away. He makes his way to Makoto and finds her crying over a painting Touka gifted her, unsure of what to do with something so expensive. He ignores this and asks where Miku is. Makoto quickly realizes the bear in his hands is for Miku and asks why he chose such a girly gift. Sensei explains he didn't put much thought into it, and that he doesn't really mind if Miku actually likes it — He stops speaking when Makoto's face turns somber. She tells him that Miku's hanging around outside, probably looking for somewhere quiet.
