Sensei is sitting in his office and, noticing his inner monologue, assumes something of interest will happen soon. While he recounts some noticeable events that occurred during and after the last beach trip, Sana knocks on his door and enters after being called in. She reminds him of the upcoming Halloween party and asks him to follow her to the manga club room to take a look at the girl’s costumes and judge who has the best one. He notices Sana’s lack of a costume, and she, embarrassed, admits that she hasn’t picked one yet and wants to look for one once she gets back home. Knowing that he won’t need to counsel anyone today, he follows Sana to the club room, admiring her social development on the way.
After entering the club room, Sensei is greeted by most of the club members and Ayane in very flattering outfits. After conversing with everyone present, he notices the obvious absence of Maya, only to be told she’s hiding in the corner of the room. After the usual banter between them, Ami asks if they can start the costume contest. Sensei wants to know what the criteria for the winner is, and Molly suggests to just pick the one he thinks looks the best.
The contest begins and the girls show off their costumes while Molly gives a brief introduction of the character the current girl is portraying. During the contest, Sana gets too close and is considered a participant now. After everyone had their turn, Sensei picks a winner, which is met with either happiness, confusion, embarrassment or, in Maya’s case, frustration.
When the day comes to a close, Sensei leaves the school and is happy not having to decorate for the party this time, but Sana catches up to him and asks for his assistance carrying some things for the party from her home to the mansion, and he agrees to follow her.
