The night is described as a peaceful hot spring night. As a result of a flood in the school dorms, several girls decide to go to the bathhouse instead of staying there. While talking about renting the men's side, Rin chimes in and asks Ayane if she is okay with paying for everybody but Ayane tells her that it is okay. Io, to stop them from talking, offers to let them in without charging while also counting it as a discount for not bringing Sensei along like last time. Ayane pays anyway and the girls go in.
In the locker room, Rin asks Futaba wether she plans to do anything in the bath. Futaba wonders what the matter is but catches on as Rin gets flustered. Suddenly, Rin gets distracted by Tsuneyo and the conversation derails.
In the bath, Futaba wants to talk with Rin about how she loves Sensei now. Rin tries to deny it, but caves and mentions that she is thinking about him non-stop ever since the last Christmas party where she got accused of wanting to get closer to him. She says that Sensei has always been there for her and can't help but have feelings for him. At the same time she does not want to hurt others who love him too and that is why she doesn't do anything about it. Futaba assures her that it's best if she acted on her feelings and didn't wait for it to be too late. Rin says that she is also scared of messing things up now that they have come a long way.
The conversation ends when Tsuneyo joins the two of them, asking if she could hang out with them since Molly got out of the bath. Rin then decides to get out too.
