Walking through the school hallways, Ayane fills Maya in on her experience of the time loop. Maya warns her to be cautious of Ami's murderous side, which she already knew about but is also not worried about due to information she got, and to not trust her other self or anyone in general. While Ayane isn't happy to hear that she can't trust anyone but Sensei, Maya reminds her it's not her task to make her feel comfortable but to advise her on what she has to expect.
Ayane wonders how she managed to get so good at handling her situation, but she reveals she doesn't handle it well as she has murdered several versions of Sensei in a figurative way, and even one in a literal way by accident. Both talk about their relationship with Sensei and end up amused by the absurdity of their situation before moving on to their actual task.
Inside a classroom, Ayane asks what their goal was again, and Maya tells her she's looking for notes where she documented everything she learned about the reset, hoping to find some sort of instruction book. While looking through a locker and finding the notes she wanted, she advises Ayane to not get her hopes up as those might be outdated or not include any information that will help her return to her world, meaning she might be stuck here, but also doesn't want to reveal what she wrote in the notes. Hearing this, Ayane begins to panic and lets her frustration of getting her hopes up and being kept in the dark out on Maya, until she gets slapped by her.
After Ayane calms down, Maya reveals she wrote down everything, from basic routines of the people around her to noteworthy information about the reset, in hope to piece everything together and find a solution. However, most of it was written down as a force of habit and she forgot almost everything she documented and where she stored it, and, as a result, the book she was looking for is empty, either because she never came around to write anything down in it, never found anything noteworthy to document, or she only put it there as a joke. Maya suggests they should check the basement where she stores the notes that contain actual data, but Ayane begins to lose her optimism of ever being able to return home.
After the situation calms down a bit, Maya goes back to the locker to get something that Ayane should hold onto and, in case both her and the object make it back to her world, return it to Maya. The object is her green scarf, but Ayane wonders if her Maya will remember it, given that it's spring in her world and her Maya never lived through a winter. Maya thinks she should still try it, as it might be the only way to bring back Maya's memories and improve her relationship with her.
Maya tells her to just take the scarf so they can check the basement before someone calls them and wants to know what they're doing, but when Ayane suggests they should tell them they're on a date as a cover, she gets a second slap in the face before being handed the scarf.
