Oceanic Branch Office - Waiting Room
Synopsis
Finding himself in yet another weird space, Sensei wants to know what's going on, and a voice informs him that he's in the waiting room of the Oceanic Branch Office as he has an appointment there. He doesn't recall making any appointments, but then realizes he also doesn't remember a tragic event that occurred recently. He's informed that all "unvaluable memories" were temporarily removed and will be returned once his appointment is over, and while Sensei tries to ask them to keep those memories for good, his request is denied.
He then wants to know what trial awaits him this time, but the voice reiterates that this is a waiting room, meaning he only has to wait until his number is called and check his identity with the receptionist – Only problem is, he never received one and also doesn't get one when he asks.
After writing his lack of a number off as another example of the poor state of bureaucratic processes, Sensei decides to interact with the other people in the waiting room to pass the time.
