Five minutes after their call, Makoto arrives and takes a look at Miku's injury. While she can tell that it's serious, she also isn't that worried since Miku apparently has a history of badly clogging wounds, making them always look more severe than they actually are. Regardless, she thinks they should do something to help her, and when Miku can't make a choice, Sensei suggest to inform Maki. Makoto agrees and tells Sensei he knows what that means, but when he promises to take responsibility for his actions, Makoto tells him to leave and let her handle everything, with Miku promising she will cover for him.
Sensei then returns home in dismay and waits for the inevitable phone call. After an agonizing amount of time, Makoto finally calls to confirm that Miku will be okay and asks him to meet her at the park so she can make sure he won't blame himself too much for what happened.
