An unseen narrator starts to talk about responsibility, using Rika as an example. Rika has to announce the competitions to Class A, but she already feels overwhelmed by this simple task, as the narrator explains that Rika is aware of the basics of responsibility due to her being a middle-aged woman and one of Rin's mother, yet she isn't good with doing multiple things at once, in this case doing the announcement and not trying to embarrass her daughter. They note how Rika has to decide which of these responsibility she should follow, but when Rika is too occupied with one of the competitions on her lists, notes how she easily forgets those when something interesting catches her eye, yet she acts more responsible then a certain someone who should be at school right now rather than aimlessly wander through the city.
Suddenly, Noriko's voice catches Rika's attention, and Noriko is currently guiding some men around the school, though when she guides the group to the gym, she tries to stop her due to a bad experience she made in the past.
Now on the soccer field, Rika tries to announce the competitions to the girls in Imani's stead, but ends up embarrassing her daughter and doing idle chatter with some of the girls before she gets to it. She reads out the text Imani prepared for her, which reveals that Imani successfully predicted multiple reactions and comments from the girls beforehand and how she included instructions and phrases on how to counter them. The text states the following points:
Imani decided to make this Dorm Wars more like an actual Sports Day and, therefore, included some competitions to encourage teamwork. As a result, the girls won't be assigned to any competitions beforehand and can volunteer for any competition they want, though there are two exceptions.
Every girl has to participate in at least one competition, as failure to do so will result in a negative point for every girl who didn't participate, not counting the excused absence of Ami.
There will be ten competitions, with some of them being non-athletic to give everyone a chance to shine, and every win earns one point for the winning team. Also, unlike the usual Dorm Wars, there won't be any bonus competitions.
There is currently no prize for the winning team, with most assuming there won't be one again.
The competitions are as followed:
The first competition is a simple round of egg tossing between two girls.
The second is a return of the trivia quiz, which will be one-on-one.
The third is a crazy obstacle course, which is also one-on-one.
The sixth is a relay race, which requires three participants.
the seventh is a competition called death ball, though there are no details on what that competition entails.
The eight is a five-legged race, which is completely distinct from a three-legged race.
The ninth is a newly-newlywed game where two contestants will be chosen via name drawing.
And finally, there will be a special teacher competition, with Wakana and Imani representing the first and second floor respectively.
With the announcement over, Ayane doesn't feel motivated due to Sensei's absence, and Maya decides to bail, having something more important to do and not caring about this. While Ayane knows what she wants to do and implores her to wait a little bit longer, she fails and Maya, indirectly admitting what her plans are, leaves her behind.
Meanwhile, Otoha is annoyed by Nodoka looking at her for a while and gets even more annoyed when she tries to pry information out of her, which will most likely end up in her new book. During their conversation, multiple girls approach Nodoka and hand her a paper, and when Otoha wants to know what she's planning now, she claims she just wants to "give back to the community".
