CHAIN-BREAK EVENT

As the day comes to a close, Sensei finds himself wondering how things would be without him, and how he feels like something is missing despite today's accomplishments. He also thinks about Ami, specifically how he still can't fully embrace the fact that she's his daughter now and how cute she is. Despite his initial apprehension, Sensei finds himself enjoying camping and would like to do it again, preferably by himself.
As Maki drives the group home, Sensei remarks to himself about how he doesn't know what to do with Niki's proposal and how he needs to talk it over with Ami. Maki drops off the Arakawas, who Sara decides to follow, and Ami, after everyoen entered Sensei's house, thanks Sara for everything she did to fix her looks. Sara offers Ami to hang out with Sana and her later that day, which she declines, as she already has plans with Maya, which causes Sensei to freeze for a moment. Sara then tries to get a date with Sensei, but Ami intervenes, with Sensei also suggesting Sara should let it go. However, Ami decides to give them a few minutes alone as she wants to prepare a bath for herself.
Instead, Sara decides she should leave, since she only wanted to say goodbye to Ami and doesn't want to impose herself on their first day as father and daughter. Sensei tells her that Ami already saw him as one and how he hopes that this will help him make better decisions as her guardian, though he doubts it. She can sympathize with this, because she has made and still makes mistakes raising her own daughter, but acknowledges that mistakes will happen and they can only try to make sure they don't go out of hand.
She confirms that her trying to get a date with Sensei was an attempt to win him over, which will play out in one of two ways:
If Sensei pursued Sara during either Carry Me Home or A Mostly Empty Home, Sensei points out how she's already made the necessary steps to achieve it, but she retorts that her efforts means nothing when he doesn't make a move. With this, Sara finally decides not to overstay her welcome, but just as she's about to leave, Sensei stops and thanks her for all the help, telling her she's welcome in his home at any time. This causes a noticeable change in Sara, which Sensei picks up on. She tells him he shouldn't have said that, because if she can come over whenever she wants, she would never leave – At least not without them. Sara talks about the possibility of both their families moving in and living together in the future, and Ami speaks up after a while, having listened in to their conversation for an unknown amount of time. Sara makes her offer to Ami, and Sensei tells his new daughter they will need to have a talk soon.
If he didn't, Sensei tries to shut her down again, but she knows that nothing will happen between them and only wanted to remind him of what could've been. Before she leaves, she promises to help him again if he needs it and would appreciate if he would come to the bar gain, because his presence and patronage are missed, and he promises to drop by again.
Back in his room, Sensei decides to bring some normalcy back into his life.
