Sensei returns home from the beach, with the only noteworthy things being his thoughts about coexistence and a letter from an unknown sender asking him to "see them in the spring time".
Once he enters his house, he's greeted by Ami and Niki, both of which are in matching pajamas, which stuns Sensei momentarily due to how otherworldly it feels. Ami and Niki talk about their time together, which included Ami trying to wear one of Niki's old idol costumes, which didn't went well due to Ami's physical limitation. Sensei wonders if this sparked a desire in her to become an idol, and while Ami is sure she could never become one, Niki feels like she could pull it off. When says he's proud of both of them, Niki teases Sensei by reminding him how many people have impure thoughts about her, and when she asks him to imagine this with Ami instead, he immediately threatening to kill those people, which makes Ami happy.
While he gets told about the rest of their weekend, Sensei feels like Niki's trial run as Ami's parent went well, though notices that she's trying a bit too hard to impress them, which makes her even more attractive to him as she was during their walk down memory lane. Niki offers to make Sensei coffee, but Ami is upset by how close they are. Niki gloats over her, and then Sensei cuts her off and asks Ami how she would feel about Niki moving in. Ami is confused at first and feels like this is some weird hypothetical scenario, but when he tells her it's a serious question, she argues that he can't ask a famous idol to move in with them, especially without asking her first. Niki intervenes and confesses it was her idea, but Sensei asks her to let him handle it. However, when he fails to make Ami understand it, Niki decides to take over.
Niki reaffirms that she wants to move in with them and fill the role of her mother, which makes Ami think she's crazy. Niki eventually wants to know what she fears the most, naming Niki being in love with Sensei, Ami not wanting someone to replace her mother, and Ami fearing she can't easily spend time with Sensei anymore as possible reasons for her refusal. A cut to Ami reveals that Sekai is feeding her information, now asking her to name all those reasons. Ami adds that she isn't used to have a full family and would hate for both of them to be more serious, though she would be fine with the latter as long as it includes her as well, though Niki was never thinking about that when she volunteered to move in.
Niki tries one final time to reason with Ami, explaining she wants to be a maternal figure for her because there are things Sensei will never be able to understand and do when it comes to her needs, and while both can try living like they used to, it would be easier and better for them if they took a different approach to living. Ami wants to know if this is true, and Sensei confirms it. After some more compelling arguments from Niki, Ami asks her if she would still love her even if she falls of the deep end again and ends up hurting her loved ones as a result. Niki says she always will, and Ami finally agrees to give her a chance.
Ami returns to her room. While Niki enjoys her victory, Ami stands in her dark bedroom before she starts chuckling to herself, a sinister and foreboding smile spreading across her face.
