Synopsis

One day after the incident in the ferris wheel, Sensei is on his way to meet Tsuneyo, a meeting he doesn't want to attend. He has gotten tired of getting his hopes up only for them to be shattered, which will happen when her "awareness" will be erased by the next reset. Trying to find a silver lining, he hopes he gets close enough to her soon and she will be reset back to a point where she's once again confined to her shop and unaware of the outside world, saving her from having met him as well as ever meeting him in the first place while he gains an enjoyable memory of her.

In front of Tojo Ramen, Ayane arrives later than intended, because she struggles to navigate through the old district, and informs him that Makoto won't come since she treats their situation like one big game and, therefore, sees no value in getting more familiar with it. He accepts her decision as he can fully understand it, but Ayane thinks they should work together since she would've expected from them. Sensei points out that she was wishing for her to disappear, and Ayane is aware of this yet decides to believe that she never meant it.

He starts to lash out at her, reinforcing how tired he is of his situation, but Ayane tries to reason with him and begs him to calm down and not mentally struggle against it as they all need to stay sane to make it through this, something they should succeed in since their situation gives them basically an eternity to figure this out. Sensei confesses that he doesn't want to get his hopes up again and even wants to run away right now, and while Ayane can understand him, she reassures him that she's there for him and leads him inside.

After entering, Tsuneyo ask why Makoto isn't there and, after Ayane lies about her reason, apologizes to Sensei for her lashing out at him the other day. After some small banter, Tsuneyo trying to take their order, and Sensei and Ayane taking a seat at the counter, Ayane thinks they should start her education about the loop sooner rather than later. Half an hour later, she finishes with a rundown of what they know, and Tsuneyo accepts everything she learned. Ayane is surprised by her quick acceptance, but Sensei points out how she already learned all this during their sleepover, and Tsuneyo adds that she remembers it again, though thought it was just a dream until recently.

Ayane wants to make sure if she remembers any details from the sleepover, but, outside of knowing that Yumi was with them, she can't recall anything specific. Ayane tries to figure out what both of them have in common that would trigger "awareness" and comes to the conclusion that them living in the old district might be the deciding factor, but Sensei instantly refutes this by pointing out that Chika and, to an extend, Chinami would also be "aware" if this was the case, and yet he has noticed no signs of this by either of them.

With no other solid lead, Ayane suggests they should talk to Yumi as well, but Sensei tells her about his recent meeting with her and how it didn't reveal anything of note, until he remembers her mentioning how Tsuneyo asking weird questions to her during her visit, including the sleepover. He also mentions how Tsuneyo acted similar to how he does in these situation, meaning she "blacked out". Suddenly, Tsuneyo has an announcement to make, but a power shortage at the shop occurs and Tsuneyo has disappeared. While Ayane fears that another reset occurred without them noticing, Sensei, in an unusual manner, suggests they should look for her outside and leaves.

Reaching the bridge between the districts, both find Tsuneyo having a "blackout" and rambling on about the "wrath of the God". After a while, both Ayane and Sensei guide her back home and leave. On his way home, multiple girls that were with him or thought about him feel closer to him.
