Synopsis

Noriko, Niki, and Ami are walking the city streets for a shopping trip and pass the time with idle chatter. While Niki tries to make Ami choose a store so they can buy her new clothes to enhance her appearance and confidence, Noriko notices Nao-chan standing alone on the street and decides to separate from them to help her.

Noriko approaches Nao and wants to know if she's lost, which she confirms. Nao is surprised that she can understand her silence, and Noriko tells her she can understand silence and animals very well due to her "kind heart".

Noriko then offers Nao her hand, but when she grabs it, she suddenly finds herself inside a flooded school restroom with an egg in her hand. She's then called to the principal's office via the PA system, which she sees as some sort of nightmare she's having. Suddenly, Maya calls out to her and asks her to follow her guide to the Transpacific Sadness Symposium, and while she's still unsure, she follows her orders. Inside the school corridors, she follows her guide, who turns out to be Nao. She tries and fails to get answers form her while hearing unsettling noises in the background.

Once she reaches her destination, she finds herself inside a random classroom and sees an upset Maya in front of her. She tries to figure out why the Maya in front of her is crying, but is then approached by 61 6d 20 69 20 6f 6b 61 79 who speaks in riddles. When Noriko points out how some of her words don't make sense, 61 6d 20 69 20 6f 6b 61 79 tells her something in another language before she's kicked out of that place.

Back in her own reality and a short while before she saw Nao, Noriko is still shocked by what she experienced, but when she looks in the direction she saw Nao, she isn't there. She snaps out of her stupor when the Niki and Ami get her attention and, still confused, she asks where they are going.
