Out of the blue, Sensei receives a call from Kirin who orders him to meet up with her in an hour near her parent's home. Once they meet up, Kirin reveals that she wants to go to karaoke with him, and between this and her comments about how nothing bad happens in a karaoke booth, he immediately realizes that she knows what happened that night, though he doesn't know yet what her intentions are.
After entering their booth, Kirin wants to know what he did to upset Karin. He is surprised to hear that she doesn't already know, and she reveals that Karin hasn't said anything about it, leaving her to figure out what might've happened, and after analyzing the information available and assessing his bad mood and snarky retorts during their time together, she comes to the conclusion that he made a move on her sister, went too far and hurt her in the process. Sensei negates her accusation, stating that while he overstepped a boundary and ended up pinning her to the ground, he fought his dark thoughts and left before he could actually harm her, though being suddenly in a defenseless position was already enough to traumatize Karin.
Both disappointing and relieved, Kirin tells him to not make another move like that on her sister, and after stating he can't since she pretty much cut ties with him, he turns the table and puts Kirin on her back foot, making her feel embarrassed by calling her cute for being so protective of her older sister. She recovers quickly, as she realizes that he's trying to avoid the subject, and while she would've appreciate if Sensei just clued her in on what haunts him, she moves past it and demands that, if he ever manages to mend things with her sister, he will treat her properly and not make her sad like that again.
