He wants to tell her that he never told her because he cares for her, but she cuts him off, reminds him of all the things she changed with her behavior to make him happy, and how him ignoring her after his return scared her, with it being clear now why he did. He tells her it isn't, though, since nothing happened with Yumi and they were with other girls in his room for reasons he can't explain.
