Synopsis
Calling Yumi, Sensei finds out she’s currently over at the Chosokabe Flat looking after Chinami who’s come down with a cold. He hurries on over to check up on both of them.
Upon arriving, he confirms that Chinami's fine, and confirms with Yumi once again that she still can’t remember the last two months. She briefly accuses him of passing on his “memory disease, but he explains that it’s not a disease and, while it’s not fatal, he’d really appreciate it if they could continue their discussion from the beach. Dragging Yumi into the kitchen, he takes a seat and bluntly asks her to sleep over. She immediately rejects the idea, not considering the idea worth it - He rebuts by saying she’s free to spend her time musing over her missing memories, but that since she’s an outlier, he wants to know why she’s different from everyone else.
He explains that while nothing tragic probably won't happen, it's entirely possible her memories might be "replaced" with fake ones. Yumi’s initially fine with this idea, especially since between the time she lost, she was suddenly readmitted to school. Sensei warns her that these “blackouts” could become more frequent, and asks what she’ll do if the next one is longer, or if it causes something dangerous to happen. Yumi’s unable to answer and he presses the point, offering her a group she can confide in and people who won't think she's insane.
As she mulls over the idea, Chika walks in, having gotten off work early.
