Now sitting on a nearby bench, she has to endure some teasing from him before he wonders how many girls he will have this conversation with, and Futaba assumes almost everyone as most of them care about him. He tells her how their change occurred not because of one specific reasons but due to multiple reasons and a drastic change in his life, with Futaba guessing he means the person he lost. She can't relate to this, though, since she still has both her parents, is in her first relationship and, therefore, has no former lover she lost, and [[Nodoka]] is the first instance of her losing a friend, which isn't very powerful as Nodoka either doesn't care about that or is too proud to show she does, so it's just something she has to deal with. | |||

Knowing that he wants to avoid talking about himself, she accepts the change of the subject and confesses how she once again has a hard time accepting herself – Despite having done everything to improve her mental and physical health, she hasn't managed to change her mindset even a little and still doubts she will ever accept herself. Sensei wants to know how others should feel about the parts they hate about themselves, but she states that it isn't simply hating it, she's disgusted and abhorred by this to the point of wishing for death, because that way she would know what's coming up for her instead of being stuck in an eternal state of uncertainty, but, fortunately, those thoughts are mostly kept at bay due to her caring too much about her loved ones to go through with it. | |||

Synopsis
Walking outside with her, Sensei acknowledges how he has a hard time having feelings for Futaba and wonders what needs to happen in order to change this. While he expects her to talk about something that troubles her, she instead wants to learn more about Ami's current situation, which surprises him since last time she saw her she threatened everyone.
