Sensei knocks on Futaba's door and asks to see her room, claiming he wants to know what sort of creative environment she's working in. She is uncertain about whether he's even allowed to be there, but agrees to let him in after she has cleaned up a bit. He asks whether she has any writing to show him yet, but she says it isn't ready, and that she's still getting used to thinking of him as a friend as well as a teacher. Sensei decides to hug her, on the grounds that "no normal teacher would do this, right?" Futaba doesn't think his logic checks out, but accepts that the hug is "kind of nice". They are interrupted when Futaba gets a phone call, but Sensei assures her that he has plenty left to teach her.
