Io is confused to find him exiting a boiler room with another girl and gets scared by what that means and by how many girls he has a relationship with. Sensei calls her out for overanalyzing the situation and freaking out for no reason and also calls Kirin out for making things worse once she joins the conversation.
Io was on her way out, because her anxiety got the better of her, and wanted to wish Sensei Merry Christmas on the way. But after seeing them, she starts talking about how they can spent next Christmas together and how she has no intention of giving up on him. Kirin realizes how much Io likes him and wants to know why. She confesses that he makes her feel comfortable, but he doesn’t believe since she’s feeling uncomfortable whenever she’s near him. She reminds him that she is a broken mess that still likes him a lot, but she’s too scared to advance their relationship and fears that he will leave her because of that. Kirin recommends to just do that, but before she can explain why she can’t, Sensei stops her since she has no reason to justify her behavior.
Kirin tries to calm her down by assuring that nothing is going on between them, but Sensei points out that this won’t help since Io wants him to be with her and no one else. She asks if that’s bad and he answers that it is once it hurts his relationship with other people. He makes it clear that she needs to change if she wants to prevent herself from having an emotional breakdown, that he won’t make every decision with her in mind and that she has to feel uncomfortable from time to time, but promises to try take her to an amusement park if she attempts to do that. While Io is happy to hear that, she doesn’t think that she’s capable of change at this point.
Io still decides to leave and tolerates Kirin going with her after some convincing from both Sensei and her. After they left, Sensei goes back to the hotel room and runs into [[Ami]], [[Maya]] and [[Karin]]. He explains to them that he was with Kirin and Io near the boiler room and that both left. Maya asks if them leaving had something to do with what happened near the boiler room, which he answers ambiguously. She also wants to know his plans for the evening and he assumes that he will be pulled into more drama before meeting her on the roof, but she informs him that the roof is closed.
