Synopsis

Yumi at last relents and lets Sensei into her dorm room, but says that she's not in a talking mood. Sensei notices several old-looking TVs on a shelf, and Yumi says that she sells them. She concedes that it's not an easy way to make any money, but she isn't very hire-able and doesn't want anything to do with her parents, so doesn't have many options. Still, she eats "pretty much every day". Sensei is concerned that she's malnourished, and says that they'll have to do some job-hunting. Yumi assumes that he wants something in return, but Sensei insists that however bad he is at teaching, he still knows he's not supposed to let students die of starvation. He tells her that if she doesn't co-operate with the "Yumi Revitalization Project", he'll start reporting her absences to the principal — Yumi is surprised he wasn't already doing that, and hesitantly thanks him for looking out for her. She reluctantly agrees to his job-hunting plan after he throws in free lunches.
