Chinami Chosokabe is part of the Side Cast of in Lessons In Love. She is Chika Chosokabe's younger sister.
Background
Chinami was born with a case of really bad asthma, and a compromised immune system. As such, she spends a majority of her time inside her and Chika's apartment - Being babysat by the latter and Yumi when necessary. Whenever she is allowed outside, she has to cover-up and wear a protective helmet in the shape of a cartoon dog.
Due to her forced isolation from the world, she doesn't have friends her age, spending a majority of her time watching TV, and using her phone. As such, she has some huge misconceptions about the world, much to the chagrin of Sensei.
Characteristics
Chinami is a very excitable and carefree young girl. Like her older sister, she tends to look at the good in things, and seems to harbor no ill-feelings towards anyone. She is shown to be smarter than she lets on, and seems to enjoy messing with the older cast members by pretending to know less than she does.
Despite her innocent demeanor, she is shown to enjoy morbid forms of media, and has a particular interest in 'killing pigs'. She also likes to banter about being a cutthroat 'businesswoman'. In addition, she's shown to have no qualms about blackmailing or guilt-tripping Sensei into doing things for her.
One of her most notable traits is her tendency to refer to herself entirely in the third-person. Although this isn't consistent, and is implied to be an intentional decision on her part to cheer her big sister up.
Relationships
Sensei
She is shown to greatly enjoy Sensei's company, to the point of wanting him to marry Chika and/or Yumi so that he can become her 'dad'. This desire extends to the point where she sometimes refers to him as her 'future dad' and, more frequently, 'Papa'.
She loves to mess with him, and deeply appreciates how Sensei speaks to her like a 'normal girl' instead of a baby. She often confides in him with her more solemn thoughts.
Chika
Chinami is shown to understand the strain her illness puts on her older sister, and seems to take it upon herself to keep her older sister smiling. She priorities her sister's happiness above all, to the point of requesting Sensei marry Chika so that she may find her 'prince'.
It is implied that a majority of Chinami's more childish traits and antics are a direct result of her trying to make her older sister smile.
Yumi
Despite not being related to her, Chinami considers Yumi to be her second older sister. Yumi often reads Chinami manga from her collection, and is shown to humor her businesswoman fantasies.
Chinami herself feels that Yumi is often misunderstood, and that she simply has a hard time being honest with herself.
Chiaki
Her deceased mom. Not much is known about their relationship, but Chinami is shown to deeply admire her mother's beauty. She is shown talking to a framed photo of her as if it were actually her.
