Sensei walks into the living room and is greeted by extremely loud music, which he quickly pinpoints as coming from Ami's room. He attempts to knock on Ami's door and get her to turn the music down, but is unsuccessful, and tries again. When he receives no response for a second time, he opens the door and finds Ami in her underwear. He asks her to turn the music down, and is surprised when she doesn't act nearly as embarrassed as he'd expected.
The two quickly end up in a discussion over Ami's overall development, and Sensei makes a joke which prompts Ami to stop him in anger, before he reassures her that she's perfectly fine the way she is, and that he'd actually be concerned if Ami suddenly developed overnight into something closer to the way one of the other students looks. Sensei basically confirms through the resulting conversation that Ami turned the music up on purpose to have him walk in on her, and wonders what Ami thinks family means.
Ami attempts to be coy with Sensei, but reality glitches and Sensei suddenly finds himself on top of her in her bed. Sensei wonders what just happened, and becomes internally conflicted when Ami gives him permission. He questions whether she thinks he won't hurt her in this position, and she says it's not something they do to one another. He ponders how she has so much conviction in that belief, and suddenly finds the energy present in the room before is now gone. He breathes heavily and gets off of Ami, tells her to turn the music down one last time, then walks out of the room to make breakfast and go about his day.
