However, Sensei silently reaffirms that he didn't went anywhere, because he felt everything from this world when he was unconscious, though due to Nodoka's theory, he isn't sure if he actually did or if it was a memory.

Synopsis

Back in Sensei's room, Nodoka is still watching over Sensei's unconscious body, when Futaba suddenly appears from her trip to the other side, which scares both of them. Futaba is confused by what's going on right now and what she experienced, unsure if what she experienced was even real, and Nodoka explains that she caused Sensei to black so his mind is sent to the other side and how Futaba's journey was real, but she somehow managed to get there with her physically and mentally.

Now completely focusing on Futaba, Nodoka wants to know how the other side looked like and if she found Kyoko there. Futaba wonders why Nodoka's mother would be there, which causes Nodoka to snap and talk nonsense, but once she calms down, she explains that there exist gates to the other sides, with Futaba having managed to pass through one somehow, and how she herself can't go through them, which is why she needs people like Futaba and Sensei who can to try and prove someone's theory. Futaba suggests to speak with Molly and Yasu since they were with her when she disappeared, but Nodoka refuses since Yasu's sermon was the reason she fell down this rabbit hole, and her claim that there are only two worlds is ridiculous, because the actual number of worlds should be in the billions.

She acknowledges how Yasu's comment helped her indirectly because it forced her to read through some old notes of hers to verify something, also stating how she analyzed certain aspects of Sensei's past for this as well, but came to the conclusion that those have next to no relevance outside of this world. She also calls him by his real name, at which point he finally regains consciousness again and remarks how Futaba knows it now too. Nodoka asks if he can provide her with information from his journey to the other side, but he state how his mind didn't left this world this time.

After Futaba fills him in on what occurred, Sensei is still not up to speed and has no choice but to wait for Nodoka to finish her current train of thought so she can provide some answers. Once she's done, she asks if both forgive her for her misdeeds, but Futaba doesn't and only wants answers for her teleportation. Sensei tells her how he does it every other week, but Nodoka negates this as he isn't teleported but just slips into a state between consciousness and unconsciousness in which his body acts on auto-pilot.

However, unlike normal blackouts, his body isn't guided by instincts in this state, but memories, which she proves with a letter she wrote and managed to hide from "God" – This letter was written on December 28th and similar to a letter she wrote on the same date, however, while both letters are completely identical in their content, both of them have a coffee stain in different corners of the paper. After seeing these identical yet different letters, she came to the conclusion that the world and the people in it are caught in a time loop, but before she can elaborate further, she's suddenly in pain and can't continue her thoughts.

While Sensei is shocked by her having figured out the state of the world, Futaba is worries by her sudden pain and decides to bring her to their room so she can rest, ignoring her plea to continue her research with Sensei. However, Sensei silently reaffirms that he didn't went anywhere, because he felt everything from this world when he was unconscious, though due to Nodoka's theory, he isn't sure if he actually did or if it was a memory.
