Template:Ambox

Description and usage

This template is used to create article management templates. Note: This template requires sitewide CSS!

Use {{ambox|<...>}} on a template page, filling in the various options. The created template is then used at the top of various wiki pages to notify the user of issues.

Article management boxes should be used sparingly, as it can get in the way of content.

Dependencies

CSS

This template needs the following:

• Copy the CSS from approx. line 1201 to your MediaWiki:common.css from the following page:
  • MediaWiki:common.css

Named parameters

|image=

image for use on the left, defaults to . Takes full image file name, e.g. Placeholder.png.

|imageright=

image for use on the right, defaults to none. Takes full image file name, e.g. Placeholder.png.

|link=

the page that the left image links to

|linkright=

the page that the right image links to

|quote=

optional quote from NPCs.

|type=

top line text

|info=

list of extra info

|border=

border colour (defaults to blue)

red

ambox-red (serious issue)

orange

ambox-orange (important issue)

yellow

ambox-yellow (mild issue)

green

ambox-green (something good)

purple

ambox-purple

blue

gray

ambox-gray
